Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer, Danny Medakovic has been gathering the respect of fellow musicians and music fans since moving to Hamilton, Ontario 20 years ago.
His 2002 release "Honeybucket" received great reviews from local media, drawing comparisons to singer/songwriter greats Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, and local legend Ray Materick. He then spent the next 6 years focusing on arts projects related to raising money for homeless shelters, including producing 3 CDs of original music by local singer/songwriters which collectively raised about $25,000 for the Hamilton Out of the Cold program, and shined a light on the great musical talent in Hamilton, Ontario.
His 2014 release Jolley Cut, received many great reviews, and his newest release, The Years, is already receiving praise in it's pre-release state.
Dan performs solo, as well as with the band Fry Truck which he formed with fellow singer-songwriters Dave Pomfert and Mike Trebilcock along with some of Hamilton's best including Matt Coleman (fiddle), Linda Duemo (drums), and Carrie Ashworth (bass) in 2012. A few lineup changes later, Fry Truck has continued to gather rave reviews and has played several festivals including Supercrawl (3 years out of 4).
